    * [COMPLETE] Make a To-Do List!
    * Add a Mage Pure!
    * Combat Training Guides!
    * Money Making!
    * Quest Guides!

4. Basic Knowledge & Shorts Words

Before you read this guide you got to know some basic knowledge about runescape and you need to know the short words so you'll understand what I mean in this guide

D = Dragon (ex. D Sword = Dragon Sword)
F2P = Free 2 Play (Free To Play, When your not paying money to play)
P2P = Paid 2 Play (Paid to play, when you are paying money to play the better verision of runescape)
Pure = A kind of runescape account with special skills depending on the pure kind
DD/DDS = Dragon Dagger (DD could also be Dragon Claws)
Scim = Scimitar
Acc = Account
Special Attack = Only P2P do got Special Attacks, you see when you use a weapon like Dragon Dagger theres a Special Attack which got another kind of attack-mode. Special attacks are made to hit more and some special weapons got other functions. Not all P2P weapons got a Special Attack, but many do!
Spec = A spec, a special attack
Special (Spec) Bar = When you use a Special Attack it drains on your Special Attack Bar. 100% is the most you can use and differnt weapons drain differnt amount of %. After you've used etc. a dragon dagger spec which drain 25% you got 75% left so that means you can do 3 more specs! After time the spec bar recharges but you shouldn't waste your specs in a battle cause it'll take a while to get back to 100%
RS = Runescape
PvP = Player versus Player (fighting another player)
G.E. = Grand Exchange
PK'in = Player Killing
CYA = See You
Ty or Tx = Thanks
Nty = No Thanks
noob = Beginning player with little to no experience with playing the game.
XP/EXP = Experience
HP = Hitpoints
H = Hour, often used in proggys, etc. GP/H (Money per hour) or Exp/H (Experience per hour)
Proggys = Progress Reports; Screenshots taken of the progress of a bot.

4. The Choice

Here I have a list of commonly made pures, P2P and F2P. If you think I am missing something that needs to be added, please let me know!

Some common pure types are:

Obsidian Maulers (Tzhaar-ket-om) - P2P -
Low-Leveled pures which can hit really hard at low combat since the obsidian maul only requires 1 attack. The weapon doesn't have a special attack but has a large strength bonus; Which is helpful because it allows you to increase the damage of your hits.

A Normal Obsidian Mauler strength pure's stats:
1 Attack
1 OR 13 Prayer
60-99 Strength
1 Defence
1 Range*
1 Magic*

Granite Maulers - (P2P)
Middle-Leveled pures which are good damage pures, because the Granite Maul spec could easily instant kill someone; because the granite maul spec happens immediately and can be used twice before a recharge. (Requires 50% of the spec bar)!

A Normal Granite Mauler Strength Pure's Stats:
50 Attack
1 Prayer
60-99 Strength
1 Defence
1 Range*
1 Magic*

Dark Bow Pure - (P2P)
Low-Leveled RANGED Pure which can hit very high with the dark bow. These pures often PK in groups. A group could spec out anyone they want, due to the high damage of multiple spec's from this weapon.
The Dark Bow spec takes up 65% of the spec bar and can only be used once without recharge.

A Normal Dark Bow Pure's Stats:
1 Attack
1/8/13/26/44 Prayer
1 Strength
1 Defence
60-99 Range
1 Magic*

Dragon-Weapon Pures - (P2P)
These pures are middle level pures that use dragon weapons, such as Dragon Claws, Dagger, or Scimitar. The Dragon Claws are very powerful and have an amazing special attack, their only downfall is the very high price tag.. The dragon scimitar disables someones prayer temporarily, which is useful for group pking. The dragon dagger special attack is very nice as well. It does 2 hits instead of 1, and only takes up 1/4 of the spec bar, allowing 4 repeated specs! The dragon dagger and scimitar are both relatively cheap, especially compared to the claws.

A Normal Dragon-Weapon Strength Pure's Stats:
60 Attack
31/43/52 Prayer
60-99 Strength
1 Defence
1 Range*
1 Magic*

God Sword Pures - (P2P)
These pures are very high level pures. God Sword pures are generally very powerful and can hit on almost any competition! Most godsword pures are around level 80 combat or higher. The best God Sword is the Armadyl God Sword, but it is very pricey. People who are not are not rich enough to buy a Armadyl God Sword buy a Bandos God Sword. These pures are recommended for advanced runescape players only, as they require a lot of effort and knowledge about the game. An Armadyl God Sword spec hits up to 600+ and drains 50% of the spec bar. God swords are very slow weapons but also some of the most powerful.

A Normal Godsword Strength Pure stats:
75 Attack
52 Prayer
80-99 Strength
1 Defence
1 Range*
1 Magic*

*Often these pures also have a high ranged/magic level. Increasing these skills are optional. This type of pure is considered a hybrid.

Guides / Recovering Hacked/Stolen/Forgotten Runescape Accounts!
« on: January 30, 2011, 03:23:23 am »
Introduction:

Welcome, this thread is not for those who do not enjoy reading. So, I don't want any posts saying: "tl;dr". You have been warned. Anyways, what this guide consists of are my own observations and findings on how to easily recover your RuneScape account. This is also a work in progress as I slowly come to realize what information is missing and continue to complete my observations.

Table of Contents:

1. My Findings
2. Tips & Tricks for Account Information

My Findings

Well, over the past few weeks I have been relentlessly trying to recover an older account of mine. I have succeeded. Now, you can read about how I achieved this and my methods.

At first, all I knew about the account was some previous passwords, although, not the oldest of the passwords. I knew the approximate creation details and some subscription details. That was it. The rest I was guessing on. Now, although I knew virtually nothing about the account, I was still able to recover it. This is my story:

I had just started 'Scaping when, all of sudden, my friend quit. He soon after gave me his RuneScape account. I was living the life. Although, having all that stuff given to me didn't give me the appreciation it normally would; so, I soon wanted more. I wanted to trade it. I found someone who said they would give me an account with 99 Ranging and Cooking for my account. (Note: If it seems to good to be true, it most likely is.) Now, seeing as I had never traded before and I really wanted that account, I traded first. This was my mistake and my downfall. Well, being the new RuneScape'r that I was, I knew nothing about recovering it. So, the months passed and I forgot all about my old account. When, suddenly, one day an OLD, OLD friend of mine asked me what happened to my account. I told him I would try to recover it. I sent in an appeal, with only having some old passwords I used, the approximate creation details and some subscription details. It was denied. I had to re-think my approach to recovering the account. This is how I did it:

At first, I thought JaGex actually read appeals. So, I saved all information for the: "Extra Details" box. I soon figured out that this was not working. So, I continued to submit appeals. Slowly figuring out that JaGex wasn't actually reading my appeal because I would submit one and it would say Subscription Details are wrong, so I would only change those details and it would ruin my Previous Passwords', and what not. So, I had to figure out how they figured out if you actually owned the account. I started to submit false information, just to fill in the blanks. It was accepted! Shortly after it was recovered right back, I mean, I had lost the account for well over a year. They had 10X the information I had... I had no chance, or did I? I continued to try and figure out why they had accepted that appeal. Of course, I wrote down every single piece of information I used. Although, the next time it was not accepted. I used the same information as the last time though. Hmmm, maybe they do read appeals and I just got lucky? Possibly.

I continued trying out different ways to get the account accepted. I tried without completing all the blanks. It was not accepted once. So, I knew my only chance was to figure out why they had accepted it in the first place. I had to think outside of the box. Maybe, the company that worked so hard to disable bots, actually did bot. I had seen posts on the forums where people had outrageous appeals accepted, so it just might be plausible. I kept trying my same appeal that was accepted before... Slowly tweaking it so that all information would be correct. I just couldn't get it!

At first it would say your Contact Details are incorrect and then it would say your Previous Passwords' are incorrect, even though the only information I changed was my Contact Details. So, I decided to leave all the information alone. Just keep submitting it, until it would be accepted. A few tries went by and finally... Accepted! How was this? I had just submitted the same appeal over and over, only changing the "Additional Details:" box... They must use bots.

So, now I was curious as to how these bots worked. So, soon after the account was recovered back, again. Although, this time I had tried to remove the email and I had figured out that my hacker was: "aidanthomson98@hotmail.com". I tried contacting him, although Hotmail told me this was not a valid email. So, I was stumped. I simply used his email as the Contact Details and it was accepted once more. I had pretty much figured out that JaGex wasn't actually reading my appeals... A machine was. As we all know, machines have bugs, lots of them. So, I started to search around the forums. I found this great guide: Removing An Email In 10 Minutes - This has since been outdated, and this method no longer works and as such the thread has been deleted from the forums, I'm sorry for any inconvenience.

Ha! Now I had my email registered. I had also had some recoveries, seeing as every time I recovered the account I set some recoveries. (Using the same recoveries) So, these recoveries were at least 4 days old. I now had the majority of the information. The person who owned my account did not have an email anymore either, this gave me a huge advantage over him. Which has ultimately allowed me to keep this account.

So, what I was trying to say through all of that is that JaGex isn't really reading your appeal. They're using a machine, "bot" to do their hard work for them. So, what I've found through my relentless trying to recover my old account is that these machines work by scanning to see how much information is filled in and whether or not it's somewhat correct. Yes, somewhat, as I do not know if all of that information is 100% perfect. If I had to guess, I would say that the information I have is no where near the accurate information. So, the ultimate method to recovering your account is... Complete all fields, save all information used in a text document, and of course try, try again.

Note: Yes, I know you have all been wanting to say: "No pics no proof". Well, I have something even better. The Tracking ID's of the appeals, listed in order.

Tips & Tricks for Account Information

Well, now that you have lost, or know someone who has lost their account you should have a greater understanding as to how to get it back. You'll need the information, or luck. I suggest you choose "Information" over "Luck" because as you can see, "luck" isn't very reliable.

To keep all of your account's information together and in one place, I suggest using a text document. To create a text document right-click on the desktop, choose "New", and then choose "Text Document". Inside this text document, you will want to list all information and list it all in an orderly fashion to help you complete appeals with ease. Here is an example template, the same one I use for my accounts:

Please note that if you have the actual information, use that over the information provided in this template.

Dear JaGex,

I created this account around the time of my birthday which is in Month, Year.

My IP has changed although it is now ___.___.___.___. (TIP: "http://www.whatsmyip.org/")

City, state/province and country of account creation: _____, _____ and _____; respectively.

Yours truly,

(Account name)

==================================================

P.S. Might I suggest using a static IP from now on. This is not required, but could help you later on. If you would like to know how to set-up a static IP simply read the bottom of my post.
If you would like the actual text document, un-edited, so you do not have to reformat it yourself, you can download it here.

If you do not know all of the information listed above, it is okay. Fill in as much as you possibly can. Each time you complete an appeal, save the information you used. In case it is accepted. Then, you do know the real information. Do not be afraid to submit the same appeal over and over. Know that whatever the reason, you can always do more to contact JaGex. Such ways are as follows:

Telephone, Support Emails, Through the Forums and even in-game.

Support emails:

Although this option is greatly overlooked, it can potentially be the most powerful resource at our disposal to recover a lost or stolen account. I have managed to recover an account via this method, although it took 2 months and 10 days, it worked.

If you would like to see my full email, please message me through the instant messaging service provided by microsoft. (MSN)

P.S. To find out creation details check offences on the account, holiday items and even the email. If you check the offences and find an offence, for example: "Mute: July 19th, 2009." Guess sometime before March, 2009 for the creation of the account. If you have holiday items always go with the oldest item the account has. For the email, simply contact the domain owner of the email; they will most likely tell you the date the account was created... So, if they have a candy cane on the account and their email was created in 2007. You know to range the account's creation between 2007 and 2009. Good luck .

Now, to actually submit the information you will want to look for this bar at the top of the RuneScape's homepage.

You will want to hover your mouse over "Account" as shown in the above picture. Then choose "Account". Or you can simply click here. Once on this page, you will want to scroll down until you see this:

You will want to click the corresponding button. Then submit the appropriate information.

If you cannot find what I mentioned above simply click here for Recovering a Forgotten/Stolen Password, here for Recovering a Locked account or here to Track an Account Recovery.

Remember, before you submit an appeal, you will always want the Recovery Form Completion to read, good.

Good luck on all of your appeals, sorry to hear you've lost your accounts, if you need further assistance please contact me. Whether it be through Skype, MSN, PM or even on this thread itself.

Credits %100 to my brother Jordan :P
